What you'll study
Exam pattern
Eligibility: Held once a year, usually in December, for admission to National Law Universities.
Format
- 1120 multiple-choice questions
- 22 hours
- 3+1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one
- 4Passage-based questions in every section

When should I start preparing for CLAT?+
Class 11 is a good time to start with reading and reasoning skills. Most students begin full preparation in Class 12, alongside their board studies.
Does CLAT preparation help with other law entrances?+
Yes. AILET and most other law entrance tests cover similar sections — English, current affairs, legal and logical reasoning.
Is Maths important for CLAT?+
Quantitative Techniques is the smallest section and uses Class 10-level maths, so every student can manage it with practice.
